Participant Productions is a film company with a mission to make the world a better place. We believe in the power of media to create social change, but the movie is just the beginning. Our goal is to deliver compelling entertainment that will raise awareness about important social issues, educate audiences and inspire them to take action – here at Participate.net. We are dedicated to creating a whole new kind of action flick, where positive social change is the true measure of success.
Social action
Each Participant film has its own social action campaign here at Participate. The important issues raised in our films reflect the ongoing real-world struggles that affect you every day. Participate provides you with specific actions you can take, and the tools you need, to get active in your communities. In each campaign you’ll have the support of issue experts and nonprofit partners that lend resources, ideas, and increased exposure to your efforts. Participate is your meeting place to take on these struggles as a community—compare progress, share successful strategies, brainstorm new approaches—and create change as part of a passionate collective.
The community
The Participate community includes actors, filmmakers, issue experts, moviegoers, and activists from all over the world. They write blogs, share ideas, sign petitions, recruit new members, organize discussion groups, and take direct action. They are Participants in improving their lives, homes, schools, communities, and the world.
